Returns and Exchanges Policy

Returns/Exchanges:

Products can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of receiving the product.

All returned/exchanged products must still be in good working order and accompanied by the original, undamaged packaging.

Returns may be subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Items not eligible for return include but are not limited to installed dimmers, installed drivers, cut or custom-built Flexstrip, and special order items.

How to Initiate a Return or Exchange:

Contact our customer service at info@ecolighting.ca within 30 days of receiving your product to initiate the return or exchange process.

Clearly state your order number, the reason for the return/exchange, and provide any necessary supporting documentation or images.

Return Shipping:

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to an error on our part.

We recommend using a trackable shipping method to ensure the safe return of the product.

 

Warranty Policy

Warranty Categories:

Residential: Any product purchased for use in a single-family home or dwelling unit.

Commercial: Any product purchased for commercial use, including but not limited to retail spaces, multi-family dwellings, parkades, commercial buildings, industrial buildings, and offices.

Residential Warranty:

Warranty for residential products is a full term replacement at the sole discretion of Eco Lighting Solutions for the extent of the warranty period.

Commercial Warranty:

Warranty for commercial products is prorated based on the original manufacturer’s warranty period, unless otherwise specified.

 

A pro-rated warranty system will be followed regarding any products which are installed where no surge suppression/protection is present at the time of installation. Pro-rated warranties are honored as follows:

• For products covered by a 3-year warranty:

In the event that a claim is made on a defective product which was installed where surge suppression/protection was present at the time of the claim, the full warranty will be honored throughout the complete warranty period.

Warranty will not apply to the loss or damage of products caused by misuse, improper installation, maintenance, negligence, vandalism, harmonics interference, alteration, accidents, power surges or corrosion. This warranty is also not applicable on loss or damage of products caused by acts of God, including fire, lightning, natural disasters, etc.

Eco Lighting Solutions LED product warranty is void if any product is not used for the purpose for which it was designed.

It is at Eco Lighting Solutions sole discretion as to whether the product will be repaired or replaced. If a replacement is necessary, Eco Lighting Solutions reserves the right to replace the defective product with refurbished or repaired products/parts, in which the replacement is of equivalent function to the original product or part. The replacement product will be warranted for the remaining period of the original products’ warranty.

The labour and equipment costs associated with removing and/or reinstalling products will not be covered by Eco Lighting Solutions warranty. Under no circumstances is Eco Lighting Solutions liable for any incidental, accidental or indirect damages incurred.

Warranty claims will only be accepted from the original purchaser, with proof of purchase provided. Proof of surge protection may be requested to determine if a non-prorated warranty is applicable.

The customer is required to return the product to Eco Lighting Solutions in order to receive the replacement or repaired product in return. Any balance owed including for return shipping and/or pro-rated warranty costs are due and payable prior to the release/delivery of the warranty replacement or repair.

Eco Lighting Solutions reserves the right to modify this warranty from time to time. Any modification to this warranty shall be effective for all products purchased through Eco Lighting Solutions on or after the effective date of any revisions to this warranty.

Warranty Exclusions:

Eco Lighting Solutions will not cover any product that has been operated under conditions for which it was not designed.

The warranty does not cover loss or damage resulting from external causes such as defective or inadequate wiring, outages as a result of public utility company action or inaction, lighting theft, power surge, misuse or abuse, or connection with products not recommended for interconnection by Eco Lighting Solutions.
